Soon after posting my previous Texas gator, I saw a request for full-body or nearly full-body images of American Alligators. Most of mine are head shots, often with just eyes and nostrils visible above water. I found some good near full-body shots, but this is the best one showing all of an adult gator. It was made the same day as the one I posted before. Anahuac NWR, Anahuac, TX, EOS-1n, 600 f4L, 1.4x, 1/125, f5.6 (+1 from ambient), Velvia at 80 and pushed one stop.

Cliff,

I saw that photo request and I thought of you and your gator from the other day and wondered if you had the whole body-obviously you do. Very nice shot. I like the reflection her and the curve in the tail.

Cool shot. I love how you caught him out in the open. 8)
