You have a nice specimen in great environment here. I would wish for the animal to be a bit higher in the frame so that the legs don't appear to be cut-off and the light is a bit harsh.

I too would prefer the subject a little higher, but other than that it's a good shot. Well done.

I like how the buck blends with the colors of the background. I agree with the others that placing the subject a tad higher in the frame would improve the image. Nice shot.

Higher would be better but my guess is that you wanted the uniform look of the grass as the setting for the deer - which works well. It's a different look than the standard deer shot and it's very complementary - and complimentary. Love the look right at you; only wish that there wasn't a bit of grass in front.

Interesting composition, Robert. I like it! Would keep the grass in front of the face and raise the animal a fraction in the frame, if given an opportunity to make this shot.
