First Post--Katmai sow and cubs

This sow and cub were enjoying a tender moment and continued with some ear pulling before heading over the lupine and iris covered ledge. The other cub is just to the left.
NikonD1H with 70-200vr lens 2x handheld. I used levels to lighten the image,usm, and cloned a few dust spots out. Thanks for looking. Joan Miller

This is a beautiful image! A little curves work to add a bit of contrast will make this one even better. I haven't been there in years and this image makes me want to go back!

And a real nice first post it is. I love the shot. A little more sharpening in addition to Jim's comments would really make this one roar.

What a sweet shot, I love the interaction between the mom and junior, and the flowers add to the tender moment. Agree it is a bit soft as shown.

Welcome, Joan! What a thought-provoking image. I have to ask what they are doing there in the lupine and that makes me keep looking and looking. Might try a bit more USM on the cub.
