Sorry not to critique of late. Will be "up to my eyeballs" for another month, but had to finish this off.
This is actually a different lion and different tree than the last two posts. This female was lying atop an acacia tree. (For those unfamiliar with acacias, think thorns, lots of long thorns.) While she was lying down when we arrived, she didn't look comfy and promptly headed down to join a large male - who was quite clearly in charge as they headed off for a bit of privacy.
