Well, hell has no fury...etc, so they say and we can see here that that may well be true. A well placed left hook sent our man the message good enough.

This wasn't the end of the squabble, it's just the point at which I ran out of film  I'm usually pretty good at checking the number of frames left on a roll and will frequently forego 5 or even 10 shots in favour of a new roll. Of course I also usually have another body loaded, but that was in the car

Anyway, they both got up and the other female joined in the fight and both set about our man with a vengeance, biting, slapping and leaping all over him. I think it was fairly controlled aggression, it was certainly very noisy.

I hope you've enjoyed this little series and thank you all for your comments on the previous posts, much appreciated.

I really enjoyed this series, Dave. I love the sharpness of each shot, the progression of behavior, and of course your excellent play-by-play. Well done.

Its been a great series! I really like tight portaits and they're even more appropriate for "intimate" scenes like these. The excellent detail, especially in the eyes, was wonderful.

Sure wish someone sold a 50 exposure roll of film...

This action between the Lion and Lioness was amazing to witness at the time and I am thrilled you got such a wonderful record of each scene Dave.

This is definitely a series that's going up on the wall - just as soon as you can!! PLEASE!!

Have thoroughly enjoyed the entire series. Well done!

I remain surprised that the male would take any abuse from the females because in the wild this big guy would likely quickly put the females in their place.

AS everyone has said, a great series. I especially like the look in the eye of the lioness. No doubt that she wasn't giving him a love tap.
