This was one of the close up series I did from my studio when I was sick last winter. I was using my then new 300/2.8 and 37mm of extension tubes. The feeder was three feet from my window. I was also using the D30. I was doing this when all the other Long Island Lunatics were out tromping around Jones Beach looking for the elusive Snowy Owls!!! I certainly hope those little beasties show up this year!!!!
Comments and critiques always welcome!

Very cute intimate portrait Gail. I like this a lot. I hope they show up too. I might have to visit the LILs again.

You did well, despite illness. This is very unusual, very nice.

I really like this a lot. It is fun to see great captures of common citters... All of the snow makes it special.

Cheers,
Jeff

It would have been nice if you were a little closer - NOT! This is great!
