Hello NatureScapers:

Digging up old pictures with blue sky for the motif. This image was made at the end of May on a trip to Custer State Park, South Dakota.

Thanks for looking and any comments or suggestions.

Very cute and well done...she kind of looks annoyed that you were intruding on their private time... :-)

Cheers,

Sweet catch Dennis, and again you have managed to get superb detail in the face and hide - not easy with these animals.

Excellent shot.

Another great shot! She does not look at all happy with you, but the calf looks oblivious. Good timing ot catch her while swishing her tail.

Very nice work. These critters are difficult to expose properly and you did that with a great composition to boot.

Excellent! Great subjects and behavior, perfectly exposed. Never been to Custer SP but it certainly looks like I should add it to the ever growing list of places I NEED to go to.

Dennis,

A warm/tender moment very well seen and executed. Getting catch lights in the eyes of these guys I know from experience is tough -- well done.

Really nice! Mom looks like she's telling you not to get out of your car. :)

I like the looking up view of this scene. While I've witnessed this behaviour many times, you've captured it from an angle that's not normally available to me at Elk Island. (At least not without getting out of the car.)

Actually, both cow and calf are swishing--my favorite thing about a strong image.
