Coastal brown Bear-Sow with cub
Hallo Bay, AK

Another shot from my recent bear STL at Hallo Bay Bear Camp in AK. This sow was only half-heartedly attempting to fish but it looks like her cub was cheering her on.

Canon 10D with 500IS and 1.4TC, ISO 400, 1/400 @6.3. No flash allowed so could not use fill.

I'm clapping! Both these bruins are stars to me with such good exposure.

This is really terrific. Great action and sharp as a tack. Looks like it needs a few degrees of CCW rotation.

I love the action here Cheryl. I think Will is right, the water doesn't look quite straight.

Cheers

Well done Cheryl. I always enjoy seeing your work. Despite lack of fill, you depressed the shutter just at the second when there was a slight catch light in the eye of BOTH subjects, and with great action. Nice job.
