I know that Cheryl has posted her awesome Flehmen behavior, but I thought I would add mine because of the humor in the image. It is from the same trip, but a different day. This was with the Sigma 300-800 at 1/1250 @ 5.6, 700mm. I may have had a 1.4X on as well, but I don't think so. Thanks to all of the help that I got at the Jasper, Shoot the Light Workshop, the image didn't turn out to badly either...I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed taking it.

Hey Jeff, way to capture the flehman behavior. I especially like the cigarette, err I mean grass in his mouth-lol While the ewe's rear end adds to the story line, I am undecided on its inclusion.

Best and have fun in Bosque w/ Betsy,

No doubt about what's on his mind... It looks to me as if he may have gone from flossing to fleheming when the company changed.

Nice pose and lighting. If the posterior of his potential mate were in focus it would add more to the photo.

I thought about cropping some of that out as well. As it is, its full frame.

I love the look in his eye!

I like everything about this, except the ewe's back. Nice shot!

Unless the roll that's still in my camera has one (and I really hope it does), I didn't get any flehmen shots. :( (I thought I took a couple, so I'll keep my fingers crossed for that last roll.)

Jeff,

Very cool shot. I like the inclusion on the back end of the ewe as it is definitely part of the story. I would maybe crop up and include a bit less of it though. I really like the crazed look in his eye too.

It was great shooting with you in Jasper. i hope we can do it again sometime. I look forward to more of yours posts.

Jeff, this one really makes me laugh. It looks like this female inspired him in the middle of grazing and he couldn't wait until he finished chewing what was in his mouth. The eye expression really makes it too.
