In mid Sept in Denali NP, near Eielson Visitor's Center. Two of these rams were the same ones that I photographed in late Aug. I was very surprised to find them quite close to the road on a day that we had a pass from the road lottery.

The snow looks a bit blue and I debated trying to correct that but since the sheep are an accurate shade of off-white, I decided to leave the snow alone.

Very nice environmental shot. Excellent choice to crop pano to accentuate the moon and the rams.

Tim, this is a wonderful shot. The rams are perfectly placed (even with the curl framing the eye of the ram on the left). I love the slope and the placement of the moon also. Great pano.

Pano works well here and helps to emphasize the moon. Moon below the rams really cause me to do a double-take and adds interest. I'm conflicted on the blue snow, but it does emphasize the rams.

Hey Tim, this makes a nice pano – nice placement of the moon. Isn’t the road lottery a blast?

Very nice shot, Tim. I like how the slope cuts the frame diagonally, and I think the rams and the moon balance the frame very well. It's odd that the same light makes the rams white and the snow blue, I'd be interested to see how warm the sheep get if you set the snow whiter.

I love panorama shots and having just come back form Jasper makes this one fun... I didn't really go for the blue snow too much. I tweaked it for a couple of minutes and this is how it turned out for me... I hope that you don't mind.... I didn't keep a copy of your image... All I did was take the blue and cyan down in Hue/Saturation and then bumped the colors back again minus the blues in the snow and the dirt...

Tim, this is a very nice image. I do not mind the blue snow. IMO, it effectively aids in communicating the evening atmosphere and cool temps.

Nicely done.

Best,

Super shot and a great crop. Living in AK you must have seen lots of blue snow.

Tim, I really love the composition here with the rams and moon balanced. The blue cast to the snow seems to emphasize the coldness, so I don't mind at all, but Jeff's version also works.

Cool shot Tim. I really enjoy the moon sitting in the depression created on the horizon by the landform, and the two rams at the far end of the frame. Nice job!
