Snow Leopard - Captive

I rarely shoot zoo photos, but I got this a couple of weeks ago while spending the morning and shooting with a friend. I just loved the ponderous look in this Snow Leopard's eyes.

This was shot through the plexi-glass enclosure.

Canon 1D and Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 on Gitzo 1348.
ISO 200
Exposure: 1/40 sec @ f/5.6
Exposure mode: Av
Metering mode: Evaluative +/- 0
Focal length: 200.0mm (actual is 260mm due 1.3x)

A gorgeous cat captured very well. I might reduce the blue saturation a tad.

Gorgeous creature. Looks like it was modeling for you. I love how it's looking upward, as you said, like it's thinking about something.

Very nice shot, Wayne. I agree that that the cat's eyes looking upward make this a special image. I wouldn't mind seeing even more of the animal had the camera been aimed lower and to the right a bit.

Very nice cat. A bit on the blue side but that's been already been mentioned.

Beautiful portrait Wayne...what a pretty animal and I really like the splash of green you've included.

Nicely done. Looking up with room at the top, and the curve of the animal's back really work well. Now was it Canon plexiglass or Sigma plexiglass? ;)

Very well done. Excellent pose and quality is very good through the plexiglass. Knock down the blue cast and it will be even better. thanks for sharing.
