Canon D30 (wow, remember *that* camera?), 300mm f/4 IS + 1.4xII

I have been digging through my images from years past, and it is amazing how many images I have skipped over. I need to do this more often, because there can be diamonds in the rough. I must have skipped over this shot because of some underexposure issues. Nothing like 2 minutes in C1 and Photoshop to work wonders.

Enjoy!

Very, very nice. Idon't know what the image was like pre-processing but whatever you did in PS was effective.

Very nice. A lot of character in that face- the scar on the right ear, the insects (?) and the squint.

Nice light (or adjustment in C1  ) and view point. If this were one of my images I'd be slightly disappointed that I had caught her with one ear turned away (animals always look more alert when their ears are both oriented in the same direction and following their gaze). I would also be a bit self-critical about not having re-composed the shot after focusing to place the subject further to the right in the frame. It's a nice shot, though. One that I might use in a workshop to illustrate the above points.

Very nice shot, Andy. I like the nice, soft directional light, the peaceful look of the subject, the way she parts the grass where she is lying down. Looks like a vertical might also have worked, here, allowing you to include the full length of her paws.

It looks like she knows you're there and she's "letting you look at her". Very nice, Andy. I like it.

This shows well her intense stare, the ears tuned in two directions and the ever present insects! a good record shot of just how things are in the bush!

Excellent. I'd crop a bit from the right.

D30 - ROFL! For some of us it's easy to tell when a photo was taken by the camera employed!

Nice light - and nice adjustment. Low angle works well. (And I would also take a bit from the right.)

Nice portrait. I would like to see it less centered as well. I like the ear positions.
