In the Masai Mara during the wildebeest migration, it's seemingly more difficult to get a photo of a lion without a wildebeest carcass in the frame than with one in it. When this young male lion dragged this carcass about 1/4 mile at mid-day to get under the shade of a tree without losing his food to the hyenas, for some reason I thought I'd try some pan-blurs of the event. Canon 1Ds ISO50, 70-200 at about 100mm, 1/15 and f9, full frame.
