Puku
SLNP, Zambia, Aug-02
EOS3, 300F4L IS + 1.4xTCII, velvia, handheld, full frame

During a walk thru the park, we came across mother and baby Puku. We stood and watched for a while, they were oblivious to our pesence. Suddenly something spooked them and they took flight in opposite directions.

This one's not as good as my lechwe, but you've all seen that one already ;)

Comments welcome and thanks for looking

Nice work Dave. I like the warm inviting light, and the action. Placement in the frame could not be better. Environmental elements very nice as well. Excellent..

Very nice, Dave. Excellent warm light, perfect moment of capture for the subject, good panning technique and sharpness, and good placement of the subject in the frame. My only wish is that the head were turned a little more towards the camera.

Light and composition are wonderful. My only thought at a moment like this: if he's running and it's not from me, should I be running too? :)

LOL - We did look around to see what spooked them. Moments before they ran, they were looking in our direction. It may just have been they suddenly didn't like us, or........
