This is one cool shoot!!!! If you ever read a US magazine called "Nature's Best" be sure to see the fun competition that they have at the end of the magazine...there, they show a humorous image and then ask people to come up with a funny caption....

This would be a great image to have someone decide on a caption..he sort of looks like a great opera singer in the throes of singing a really passionate aria!!!

Very nice shot, Tim. I love how the animal fits in the frame, the dark background, the texture of the fur, and the yawn, of course. Nice work getting exposure right on this one with the range of tones.

I've looked at this shot three times and each time had to fight the urge to yawn! (And I'm surprised Dr. Steve didn't comment on his need to see a dentist! :) ) Yawn, paw, and tilted head all sum up to one very relaxed animal nicely captured.

:D :D :D I love it. My first thought was 'opera singer'. Thanks for sharing.

I like the shot and good timing. If you could wait a bit, you'd see that he would curl his lips away from the teeth as well.

The yawn could also be a demonstration of its domination and position, especially when other males are close by. This is just saying "Man, look at these choppers, if you get to close to that nice looking lady, you are going to feel their sharpeness"

Thanks for sharing,
Geurt
