I was at the Pt. Defiance Zoo in Tacoma a couple of weeks ago. It was not a very nice day and I had the whole place to myself...seriously I only saw one person the entire morning. So, I was taking some pics of the polar bear and then he went and played in the water for a bit...then came out and did his rain dance for me... :-) Then walked over and snuffled me through the glass...he was to close to focus on for a picture....like 12 inches....needed a macro lens for a polar bear...

I use a D100 and this was with the 80-400VR. 1/200 at F5 145mm. Not much cropping, but some PS tweaking.

Hope you enjoy my "motion" shot....

....and a frameless version.... :-)

As this opened, I thought you'd captured a unicorn :D ;)

It's a nice shot with good action, but I'm afraid I'm not much of a frame man. I'd prefer to see a bigger picture :)

Cool action shot. I think Cheryl is going to love this one... She has a collection of these!

Dennis is right. I love the shaking shots. Way to find something to shoot even on a bad weather day.

Cool shot. The only thing I'd change is the straight line highlight on the left above the bear. Minor nit as it is a very nice shot.
