I was at the Pt. Defiance Zoo in Tacoma a couple of weeks ago. It was not a very nice day and I had the whole place to myself...seriously I only saw one person the entire morning. So, I was taking some pics of the polar bear and then he went and played in the water for a bit...then came out and did his rain dance for me... Then walked over and snuffled me through the glass...he was to close to focus on for a picture....like 12 inches....needed a macro lens for a polar bear...
I use a D100 and this was with the 80-400VR. 1/200 at F5 145mm. Not much cropping, but some PS tweaking. Hope you enjoy my "motion" shot.... ....and a frameless version.... Jeff
