I had a great time photographing moose in Maine last month. If I had read E.J.s encounter with a moose before I left, I might not have gotten as close as I did.

I really like the timing of this shot, with the water dripping from the horns... Great subject as well.. Do you think a little fill flash would have helped since the light was on the otherside? Great experience, well done... the water from the horns is really nice

I too really like the dripping water. FF might help open up the dark fur, but sometimes the water droplets do more harm than good to the flash by adding really distracting specular reflections.

Oh, WOW! Those stringy thingies really add to the image. I really am enjoying this shot.

Bullwinkle! Great catch Bob! I agree with Matt that flash would probably have ruined the water drops with highlights.

Really, really cool shot! I was just going to say that you were too close :)

Looks like you might have bumped up the curves a hair too much as there is a grayish tone to the image that comes with that sometime.

Very dramatic capture. The water running both from the antlers and the chin is wonderful. My first thought was the same as E.J.'s on the greys. And on fill flash, while you might have had highlights in the dripping water, that's really what makes this shot so I wouldn't have worried about them at all.

Great photo! Highlite in the eye and the dripping water really makes this image.
