Coyote (captive)

Hi Naturescapers.

Sorry I have not been commenting in the last week. I just returned from a STL workshop at the Triple D Game farm in MT. We had a great group, superb animals, marginal light most of the time but a heck of a lot of fun!

This coyote was probably our most cooperative subject as far as holding still for more than one or two shots at a time. A lot of the animals were much more active, making capturing them in a pleasing composition a bit more of a challenge.

Canon 10D with 100-400 IS @150mm, ISO 400, 1/125 @ 5.6, Capture One/PS

Very nice. Looks like a real pro that knows how to pose...

Certainly a lot more plump than the coyotes I've seen in the wild- must be getting those "super sized" meals. :D

Excellent.....and I agree....he does look well fed compared to what I see roaming around here. I'll bet you've got a lot more....keep posting.

Cheryl, this is as you know, very nice!
This rascal was allot of fun to photograph and you have done well, capturing it in a pose typical of the species.

I could post an image a day for the rest of the year

Best and see ya soon,

Chas

Beautiful shot! I love the inclusion of the fallen leaves and the alert look on the Coyote's face.

Beautiful shot Cheryl, love it, and the fallen leaves in Autumn shades just set this one off.

The colors and fine detail in this are superior! What a neat photo of a healthy, finely furred animal.

Cheryl, this is wonderful. No one would know it is a captive shot if you hadn't said so. The environment makes the shot. I love the fluffy tail. As you know I wish I had been there.....
