This is Coola and Grinder (left to right). They're 2 1/2 year old orphaned grizzly cubs being raised at a wildlife rehab center on Grouse Mountain, BC. It's an experimental program to help rehabilitate orphaned cubs. However, due to the amount of human exposure these 2 have been subjected to, they'll live out the rest of their days at the reserve. It's hard to think of them as cubs as Coola is nearly 400lbs and Grinder is just over 300!

Canon EOS 10D, 100-400L, f5.6, 1/320, ISO 800. 550ex with better beamer.

Stu -- These are very cute bears, in a well composed and exposed photo. I imagine it took quite a while to get them both looking toward you. I think this is a nice choice for a crop and that a narrower, 6x17 format might look good as well.

Nice shot and effective use of flash, difficult to do in mammals and avoid eye shine from the tapetum.. I like the very low perspective.Good work!
