I posted this last year on NPN, and thought I'd start off my posting images on NSN with this, in tribute to a great man, a great friend, a fantastic photographer and devoted lover of nature. Bill was a rare breed, who didn't simply run off to the latest hot spots, and recreate the images of others. He shot his passion, spent a lot of time in his loved woods, and knew his subjects intimately. Anyone who ever heard his moose call knows that. Hs inspiration, his generousity and his encouragement touched many. The mooseman was a man apart, and I thank him for everything. I'm gunna miss that guy for a long, LONG time.

Rest in Peace buddy.

Regards

Carl

Carl,
I know that you are posting out of sadness at this time, but please keep posting. This image and your eagle image in the Bird Forum are both works of art.

A lovely tribute both in words and the photo. A terrific shot that captures that essence of the north woods.
Thanks for posting and I certainly look forward to seeing more of your work.
