Another from the "oldy moldy" files. This was taken in 1992 in Glacier NP on a workshop that was primarily scenic subjects. The bear was practically right on the road and of course had caused a bear-jam. We scrambled to take a few quick pictures before the ranger came. The slide is not tack-sharp and I know the light could be better but I really liked the bear in the middle of the field of wildflowers.
Not sure of the specifics but probably Eos A2E with a 100-300mm f5.6 lens, handheld.

Hi Cindy!
This looks like that it was taken on the North Fork road in GNP! I like the bear in the wildflowers, nice composition, it would have been nice if the day would have been overcast!

I love this one - the bears coat looks cool and I really like the flowers. I would warm up this one a litttle too.

I added some yellow to warm it up a bit. I do recall using warming filters a lot on scenics up there.

It was at Apikuni Flat up near Many Grizzlies ...er Many Glacier... not sure if that is North Fork road.

Nice Cindy....

nothin like stopping and taking time to smell the flowers. 8)

The scene is like a total contrast the Bear being dominant strength in the middle of soft gentle flowers.

Nice composition and good job given the light you had to work with. You were mighty close to get this with a 100-300mm! While fill flash might have helped you might have had to get back in the car real fast so I wouldn't have recommended that solution. I wish my Grizzly images from GNP were anywhere near this close.

Cindy, don't let this one get moldy! This one deserves to be out and exposed to fresh air! Great job, and I'm glad to know that even bears like to smell the flowers!
