A lone artic fox in the enclosure of a breeding station in Norway, where an attempt has been made to re-introduce this species back into the wild to counter the drastic population decline. Unfortunately this project may be shelved due to the low degree of success.
Unlike other arctic regions, the polar fox is close to extinction in Norther Scandinavia, and it is doubtful whether it will survive, other than as a logo on Fjellräven hiking gear. |
