A lone artic fox in the enclosure of a breeding station in Norway, where an attempt has been made to re-introduce this species back into the wild to counter the drastic population decline. Unfortunately this project may be shelved due to the low degree of success.

Unlike other arctic regions, the polar fox is close to extinction in Norther Scandinavia, and it is doubtful whether it will survive, other than as a logo on Fjellräven hiking gear.

It certainly doesn't look very inspiring Sinuhe. Let's hope the others are better. Some regions are certainly more positive with better results for the sake of these beautiful foxes.

I wish you and your Arctic Foxes the very best in the coming year. While it sounds ominous, nature has a way of working miracles. Good luck and regards,
Jake

So sorry to see and hear this. The little fox looks lonely, if I can attribute my own feeling on it.

Thank you Cindy and Jake for your kind comments.
As Carol rightly pointed out this debacle is man made, as this lovely species was driven to the brink of extinction by hunters.

I'm sorry to hear that the species is not doing well there.
