Barely 40 minutes ago, I finally got the shot with the family.   This is very much a grab shot and not a polished article.  More a share.

Z9 an d100-400 at 400.  1/100 sec as light poor.  Haven't looked at the whole series, so hope have more to share.

Please feel free to view uncompressed.

BTW.  She has two kits..  watched them for a bit.  First time I've seen them so they are a bit skittish.  This one was the bolder of the two.

Finally she shows her family!  A nicely developed cub and looks nice and healthy, Dave, bright eyed and alert.  Maybe she's told them what a decent sort you are. :)  It will be interesting to see what else you got on this encounter and whether they will visit more regularly now theyv'e grown some.  Sweet!

Carol.

Finally, I've been wondering if they would visit you. Have fun with the new models, this one looks promising.

Thank you Carol and Axel. I've got a few more from this encounter, although the kits remained a little camera shy and skittish.

That wide-eyed look! And those big ears to grow into. Finally the family ! :) Looking forward to more. Why not crop out the blurry bottom and some off the left, even if it is a "grab" shot.
