Polar Bear 1-year old cub
Svalbard

This little cub was done eating before mom and sis were.  He climbed the hill and called and called- it was cool to hear the vocals, I wish I'd taken some video to capture it!

It would have been good to get sound too, but this is a lovely image without it! The algae and lichen on the rocks adds a nice accent to this fine capture, Cindy.

Great setting and story, from this POV he looks quite large for his age.

Another great shot, Cindy.

Hey, how many Polar Bears did you see on your trip? We only saw three and they were very far away. I was very disappointed in that.

We had at least one every day for the  first 8 days, most of which were distant.  Including the cubs, I think the total was 12 or 13.

Wonderful shot with that calling pose-so great that you saw so many Polar Bears. I love the environment here too. What a great trip!.
