I have oft mentioned her liking to snooze in my garden, so thought to post a shot. she might be apparently asleep, but that doesn't happen and her ears and her eyes, indicate all sensors are operational.

Z7II and Nikkor Z 100-400 S at 330mm.  1/320 F5.3 ISO 500 HH and full frame.  Processing adjusted to give some warmth against an incoming rain squall.

Thanks for looking.   Am guilty of posting a similar picture earlier, but felt this showed the snooze effect more.

Yes, resting but certainly not oblivious to her surroundings and what might be going on.  Its still touching that she chooses to rest with you rather than your food supplying neighbours, although there may also be dogs for her to contend with in other gardens.

Looks like she found a place that she feels confident that she is safe. You must have created a peaceful place for wildlife over the years right in your own backyard. Terrific opportunities well taken. While viewing this image she almost made me feel like going to sleep myself. Terrific image.

Have been photographing Foxes for 20 years + and even as I write, she sits in the garden having a snooze.  Every now and then, the eyes opens and the ear directions change.

Nevertheless, a quite extraordinary experience.   Right now, her tail is fully wrapped around her.  Best bit for me, is she lets me look into her eyes... A small and odd detail also, is the different colourations on her dainty feet.  Not really had that experience before.

So sweet...love the alert but sleepy pose. It is so special to have the trust of a wild animal, day by day. I can tell you are thrilled and honored as I would be too.

Enjoy the experience, Dave - its a privilege not many will have the opportunity to share. :)
