From the first session, processed today.  Tight framing... She was on a mission and no time to pull back on the zoom.

Nikon D800 and 70-200. F2.8.  1/640 F4  ISO 160 at 190mm FL.

Thanks for looking and hope all safe.

Hopefully soon, she may bring the kits/cubs in.  What will be interesting is how I expect the behaviour to change as her needs change over the next few months, so it will be an interesting experience from a biology point of view.

Superlative images David, I'm very curious and I look forward to follow this foxes behavior.

She's definitely on a mission, Dave! Have snack, will travel. What a great chance you're having to study your vixen - and getting some lovely images.

Those eyes are just mesmerising and the tight framing adds to the tension.

Intense! She certainly is foraging. Almost looks like chicken in her mouth-I hope she is not being fed by someone in the neighborhood, or raiding garbage.

Thanks Clive and Cindy. Cindy, there aren't signs of Foxes raiding garbage in my neighbourhood, but am sure people are doing handouts.

(her behaviour intrigues me for a couple of reasons. 1. I've seen her bring in food to hide in my garden several times now... times vary. 2. She seems to like curling up for a snooze in the evening here, indicating its seen by her as a safe place).. That, or a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of bringing up her kits.

Great to be able to observe this through the eyes of the mother Fox. I'm sure you'll get great documentary as well as artistic images as the brood progresses. Well done.

Thank you Warren. She's currently having a snooze in my back yard. Will be interesting period of observation. (been quite a rare opportunity, so its an opportunity thats pleasant and one I don't want to contaminate if that's not too late)... translates to I can't undo her familiarity to humans but hope to enjoy what is available without crossing any more barriers...
