Taken an hour ago.  Whilst moving over to mirrorless, I kept one of my old favourite bodies the D800.  Taken in my garden earlier.

D800.  70-200 2.8  mk2 Nikkor at 1/1250 F4 on ISO 160.  No sharpening applied.

Please feel free to view uncompressed.  Cropped from a vertical.

Great detailed portrait of her! Wish I had them in my yard!

Absolutely gorgeous. Those eyes! Viewing the hi Rez really shows the detail.

Lovely bright eyed vixen to pay you a visit, Dave and well caught licking her chops in this nice alert pose with sweet detail!

Great timing to get her licking her chops as well as you did. Need to click for higher rez and better range in the shadow area. I'm still looking for anything like this to wander through my neighborhood, lol.

Thank you all for your thoughts.. She came back later in the day so used my Z7II but the light was far too harsh, so not as appealing.

A wonderful lip smacking moment, well captured Dave.
I have resisted the mirrorless move for now, just haven't found an EVF I like, inc the Z9. Which body did you purchase Dave?

Hi Marc.  I'm using the Z7II.  Taken me a bit to get used to the EVF.  Have ordered the Z9 last October and is imminent, which probably means September :D .  (main benefit for me is I just like the silence.... The D800 I kept, and used for this,  just because I like it's IQ and is easy to use DSLR style...   There are other fringe benefits as my F lenses all are sharper on the Z7II.  That's all been analysed and documented before so I'll not re-hash that but it's been pretty painless.  (still waiting for my 100-400 Z)... Then there's the 800 PF... Oh dear!
