Have just returned from another wonderful Serengeti trip, my first after our country's 2 yr CoVid lockout.
A female Cheetah mum with 3 cubs to feed takes down a sub adult male Grants gazelle in the harsh midday heat on the grassland plains of the Eastern Serengeti- TZ.

Sad for the gazelle but mother and cubs will eat well from this catch, Marc - and the cheetah species needs all the help they can get in their fight for survival. A powerful image that illustrates well the daily fight for survival between the predator and prey animals of amazing wild Africa! Good to see you in your natural element again after such a long enforced break.

Not a very pleasant sight, but it tells an important story, and I'm glad the youngsters got a good meal.
