Bosque Elk

While elk aren't usually associated with the Bosque del Apache, there are a number of them present. This was taken about two weeks ago.
Nikon D850, 500 f5.6 PF, f5.6@1/640 sec. Very late evening.

Oh this is quite a similar situation to the Ruddy Ducks! And I like it for the same reason- having the cow there helps with the story, but the fact she isn't tack sharp helps your eye to come back to the bull as the main subject. Nice! I like the really soft light.

It looks like you have their attention with these nice alert poses and look back from the cow. The twilight gives the image a lovely colour palette and creates a wonderful mood, Joe.

Beautiful image. I really like the position of the subjects and how the focus is perfect on the right subject.
