This is a full-sized female I found after a very long night's trek in the lowland forest of the Malay Peninsular. We located a couple of males every early on in the evening but almost gave up looking for a female after hours of clambering in the jungle. Tropidolaemus wagleri are sexually dimorphic. The males are bright green and much smaller.

Full-frame at 150mm, f8, with a D500, single flash.
Regards,

Des

Snakes have such wonderful colours and markings - and this is a fine example, Des!

A lovely, detailed close-up view of this beautiful snake. I really like the elegant curve of the tongue.

Nicely composed with excellent detail. Not sure I would want to tromp around in the jungle at night looking for vipers!
