A Mule Deer Buck I have been following from Velvet to the Rut. Found him bedded in a Juniper thicket with the last rays of the day.

Nice find. I’m surprised that you were able to find him again. Huge buck and calm, relaxed pose.

What a great composition and a beautiful scene, Terry! A Handsome buck taking a rest in a lovely setting - and the play of the last light of the day on different elements in the frame just adds the finishing touch. A beauty!

Thank you and it's even harder than you might think. He migrates over 30 miles from Summer
to where he ruts.

So fortunate to even get this and more fortunate for the setting.

Thank you, Carol.

Outstanding looking buck in what would appear to be its natural setting. The random rays of the setting sun makes for a calm feeling while it's bedded down.

What a handsome fellow. He looks so serene and content in his "bed". A very pleasing mood and lovely habitat.
