Re processed this today.  Felt first image not quite what I felt when first seen.  Found a way to get closer to what I wanted...

Story the same..me bumbling about...  Techs were Z7II and Sigma Sport.  1/50 F8 at Iso 1000.  (not the same frame as original..  I play the numbers game when low ss being used and got a tad more sharpness from this one).

Lovely image, Dave - been an absolute age since we've seen a deer and kid in the wild.....man keeps encroaching on their territory.

Thanks Sinuhe.  These fallow deer are quite widespread in the south of the UK, but are really skittish.  Always seems I am using the 600 end of the focal length with early morning, or late pm good times to see.  (otherwise, 8 out of 9 trips they are running away).

All the best for the weekend.

Still the same beautiful Fallow doe and fawn, but the colour is much better - bringing out the lovely rich, autumn tones. The detail in the high rez link is superb! I love both versions but this just edges it for me, Dave.

The rich fall colors and alert poses make this one for me.

Sweet little faces amongst the autumnal colours are just lovely. I think a 6x4 crop losing a bit at the top might work better?
Regards,

Des

Great attentive poses, framed nicely by the out of focus Fall foliage makes for a very appealing image of mother and fawn. Terrific work keeping after what you had in mind while needing to carry the rig around with you "bumbling about". Good fortune (and images) often comes to those who prepare for it. Well done.

Aww-the sweetest expressions on both their faces, and so bright-eyed. The contrast with a colorful background just totally enhances their beauty. I thinik you got it this time. :)
