Thank you Carol.  I never posted it before because it didn't have a clean foreground.  That's what I thought a picture had to be.  Since then I quite like and often shoot through foliage and they are quite pleasing to me.

Well done, Roy.  Personally I often prefer to see wildlife in their natural habitat, and if they are surrounded by foliage including the foreground, that can be so much more meaningful than a sanitized surround IMO. I like to think of wildlife photography as a peep into their world - not necessarily our cleaned up version of it.  Just my two pennies worth.

The pretty eyes are what capture me in this photo-a lovely expression. The foliage is not an issue at all. Beautiful portrait.
