Pondering what should I show next, I was torn between the mother and daughter who look so pretty, or my new friend from yesterday, the Red Deer Stag.

Naturally, I opted for these deer.  Mainly, just because they require a different discipline as they barely show above the bracken and prefer to remain hidden in deep cover rather than Red Deer who rest in the woods but are happier in more open spaces in daylight re visibility and predators.

These were taken at 1/50 F8 on a Z7II and my Sigma Sport 150-600 at 600 and ISO 1000.

An hour later, there were very brief moments of good light, but happy to see these.  Their attention mainly caused by my fumbling attempts to set up the tripod whilst being snagged by bramble and remain below their visibility level.  (I was wearing Mossy Oak break up country which works very well.   My own clumsiness advertising my presence).

Thanks for looking.  Hope all safe.

Great to see mother and daughter, their attentive looks and setting add to it.

Another wonderful shot beautifully interpreted. I love all those shades games that conceal deer in super details.
Beautiful your story :)

Now, isn't that the sweetest sight!  Beautiful view of this lovely Fallow mother and her little mini-me peeping through the bracken fronds while you fumble in the brambles........  :)

A beautiful image, Dave!

:P   Pretty well like that Carol..  Blasted brambles...must be getting out of practice....LOL... Spotted the white rump and used cover to get closer.  No good route as all bramble and bracken.  Often, there will be a deer path to use..  no luck this time.. so basically move when head down, stay still when head up and then when have a view that doesn't have something in front of their faces, a good time to set up the tripod.

At that time, fumbling mode came across me...  :D.  We got there..

Thank you Axel and Mary.  Always appreciate your thoughts and comments.

What a sweet pair-love the choice- peeking out from the brush. Maybe stumbling around was beneficial for this lovely result! :)

It appears they've seen you despite your "concealment". Love the attentive look by both. It appears one more twitch on your part would have had them off to the races !!
