Lake Clark National Park, Alaska
Sigma 150-600mmC@600mm, F9, 1/200, ISO 1600, +0.33 EC.  Love how these bears could go from sound asleep on the stream bank to 30 mph in seconds when they hear a salmon trying to splash his way upstream.  Thanks for any comments, or suggestions, Dave

This is so cool David. Love the low angle. Nothing like a soothing snooze before the next activity.

Animals with their ability to change from sleep to action in seconds certainly do beat us. We need to wake up in a much more civilised way! A lovely eye level view with this deceptively dozy bear.

Let sleeping bears lie? Great low angle shot, and I suppose you might be ready to run if it wakes up in a hurry. ;). Impressive claws!

Nice shot with the emphasis being on those awesome looking claws. Very effective low angle view of this impressive looking sleepy bear.

Really an incredible image, the shot from below perfectly highlights the size of this bear that sports really powerful claws.

Great low angle, pose and behavior. I guess he is pretty good at conserving energy before the winter.
