Out early morning looking for bears clamming in the low tide this was a spot without any sign of life or bear. Instinct said that the leading lines of the tidal flats alternated with water in the long furrows was begging to be photographed but to my mind the image created would be dull without life in it. Even as i was cautiously walking to imagine and create this composition a lone bear started walking towards us and the dream fulfilled - the image was created!! Any lower the bear would have been highlighted against the golden skies and the lines completely lost! Any higher in angle, the bear would have been a brown blob, the lines distracting and the golden skies lost!! In my mind it shows off the VAST harshness of the frontierland. Hope you like it
