Here's another shot from our Slovenia trip this summer.  We photographed this mother and her cub from a blind.  Wish I hadn't clipped mom's ears but still love the shot.  Canon R5, 100-400 at 400mm 1/200 F8, iso 2000.

A great frame, Nate. I love the poses you caught here with the sow and cub. The sow doesn't look in very good condition, she's just skin and bone which doesn't bode well for her or her tiny cub. I appreciate she has come through winter and giving birth, but as you say this was in the summer, I would have thought she would be in better health by that time.

Large view reveals a lot of interesting detail Nate. As Carol mentions, the year ha snot been overly kind to her yet but hopefully she will get to fatten up.

Very interesting poses -both bears look so nicely animated. I hope they fare well.
