I saw this little guy, that was about the size of my thumb, hanging on a wall of a building yesterday afternoon. I always like to take close-ups with my phone, so I pulled it out and took this from about 8" away. He was sleeping soundly and was not disturbed at all.

Lovely sighting Joe.  Phones can be so useful...  Thanks for sharing.

So we are the same hymn sheet.  Took this in July, 5.23 am.  Juvenile Goldfinch, not the least disturbed by me. (iPhone).

Same sheet indeed, David. Here’s my Goldfinch pic taken while I was adjusting manual focus on the phone camera. I was focusing on my fingers and this female landed right there. They occasionally landed on my fingers, as well.

Sweet little bat enjoying a snooze, Joe. I love how they just land, dig their toes in and hang around! Who would have thought a few years back that we would be getting shots like this with our phones.

Lovely. So cute, he looks a little helpless, these animals are so amazing.

Sweet! I can't imagine a bat that small! Great capture , especially with a phone.
