Great example of spot lighting. I’m not used to seeing lions in trees!

Not a common sight for sure. The only other place I've photographed them on trees was in Uganda. This was taken in South Africa.

You see lots of them in trees in Zambia, along the Zambezi river, especially early morning or around sunset just before they set off hunting.

Well seen Des.

Let's not forget Grumeti, Western Serengeti, one stronghold region for treed Lions, Moru in Central Serengeti is another.

To be honest most African countries where Lions dominate, will each have their own isolated regions where Lions favour trees.
