We share nearly 99% of DNA with chimpanzees. They are our closest cousins in the animal kingdom. Photographed in Kibale National Park, Uganda. It was great to be able to follow and watch the group go about they daily lives for a couple of days. A real privilege. This frame was made during a brief period of rest.

Great eye contact and exposure in it's natural habitat. I wonder what it's thinking as it looks out at it's closest "cousin" ??
