Dramatic use of light for the spotlight effect, Des!  I always feel there is something primeval about these formiddable creatures, with their drooling saliva and venomous bite.

They don't make them much more intimidating then the Komodo Dragon. I'm not usually attracted to strong contrasty light, but the side lighting works very well with this particular image as it appears the Dragon is coming out of your worst nightmare !!

I like the composition and the lighting here with the dragon emerging from the shadows. Nice eye contact. Well done.
