Amongst the vegetation, they can find young shoots and edible flowers but also larvae and insects which provide a good source of protein.

This youngster moved towards me quicker than I anticipated so the original framing was very tight on my 300mm. I have had to add some canvas using Photoshop's healing brush.

See the original full frame and the slightly larger version the above here.
Regards,

Des

Another very compelling look from this species, Des. Those eyes really are quite something! I am quite fascinated by the many different head/face shapes in the ape/primate families.

Very nice image of an ape in it's natural habitat. Wonderful eyes and facial expression.

Great alert pose, one of those moments when you wish for a zoom lens.

Those eyes are amazing. Framing looks great, well done with the addition.
