I met him during a solo motorbike expedition in East Sikkim at an elevation of 12000ft,April 2011.He accompanied a great adventure with himself to me,halfway the expedition I needed to return back because my bike's front brake cable tore apart and there was no scope to repair it.I had to gamble my life for atleast 60 km hill ride with single rear brake.
Still Mr. Goral was worth it :)

Wow- quite the story! I like the inquisitive look.I've never seen a picture of a Goral-great opportunity! Seems he's had some serious ear problems-perhaps in a fight. Glad you got back safely so we can still see more of your beautiful work!

That sounds like a great adventure, and thankfully you got back safely!  He seems genuinely fascinated by you, such a sweet expression - although those torn ears could be the result of fighting for mating rights, so he has another side to him!   Well spotted and a lovely opportunity - I know these are becoming more rare!

Super sighting and story Debapratim. We are all thankful you got back safely and sometimes do not realise, or appreciate what efforts are sometimes needed. Those torn ears speak volumes!
Make your life spectacular!

A different kind of adventure with wildlife! Quite an interesting little fellow, so stocky and short-legged, and with a very pretty coat. The face is nicely lit and stands out well. The cocked head really helps to make a connection with him.
