The great thing about visiting the same location/country for an extended period of time is that you get to learn about places no one else knows about. This unassuming and 'hidden' small reserve in Madagascar is a good example. The last few visits I made with my group, we saw no one, yet this is a great spot for a number of lemurs species, including this beautiful Southern Bamboo Lemur (Hapalemur meridionalis).

D4s, 500mm, f5, ISO6400, 1/400th.

I love the intent expression on the Lemur's face and those feet wrapped around the bamboo stem. Wonderful shot!

Wonderful environmental portrait, he is in his own world - the eye is the focal point and it is so full of intense wonder. This is where the high iso ability of a camera becomes a critical factor. Congratulations Des.
