Cropped for portrait effect.  Whilst quite an older dude, I was rather struck with how beautiful Waterbuck look.  This fella was getting on a bit and does look a little thin.

Nikon D300 and 500 Af-S II.

Please feel free to view uncompressed.

What a beauty! I agree- such elegant markings. We must venerate the elderly, yes? (I'm there too!) ;) (But not so thin.....LOL)

Great looking markings and pose. The detail is very impressive when viewed large. Really like your crop and use of DOF.

Great textures and colors on this guy. I can’t call him old, since I know I’ve got a few years on him! And what female could resist those long eyelashes??? Detail shines when clicked on.

The females of this species aren't quite so handsome - IMO, but as this fine portrait shows, the males certainly are. Beautifully detailed close up, Dave!

Really a beautiful subject, with truly incredible colors. Perhaps the only sign of old age is thinness.
