We've been following these two lovebirds for a while. They moved across the savannah to this little spot next to a creek and flopped. It's hard work going at it all day - to those that know what I mean  :D

Looks like they've found a nice spot to sleep it off, Des!  As you say, those of us who know about Lion behaviour know they have a little action and then sleep it off - anything up to 23 plus hours a day!  I see the lioness is sensibly having a proper sleep, she knows he will watch over her like a hawk as long as she is in estrus. :)

I can only imagine what it might be like to follow such a pair. A lovely scene as they rest, and perhaps at that time you could too!
