Nikon D850, Nikon 500mm f5.6 pf
ISO 800, 1/320s, F5.6 Hand Held Please click for greater resolution. This is sort of a companion shot to the one I posted yesterday titled "Hanging Out". This one was taken about 5 minutes later as a pine martin was running and jumping across branches in nearby trees from my initial shot. This I believe is a different animal as it appears to have a lighter face than the one exiting the tree cavity. (Gary Gulash asked if the other one was a younger animal but I'm not sure as this was my first, and only, interaction with them). This was as completely open a shot as possible between low hanging branches and he hesitated enough that I had two clear shots at him, this being the best of the two. Wish it had been sharper, but it was a fast changing situation, in low light, and they are very quick. |
