One from the lowland of Norway. There seems to be a healthy population of these beautiful deer here. I was less than 20 feet (6m) away in a makeshift hide when I took this picture. I love the pristine snow that it's standing in and the plum coloured woodland as backdrop. It gives a very seasonal feel.
Regards,

Des

Clean, bright and simple - Christmas indeed. I think the alert ear carriage makes this one for me, one ear forward the other back to capture 360 degrees.

Very nice image with a purely winter and Christmas climate.
I really like the very simple composition and the out-of-focus snow in the foreground
that almost makes the subject seem leaning on a cloud.

Very pretty Christmas scene-I really like the soft snowy surrounds and the simple , elegant deer. Very nice background too. Well done!

We have a pretty healthy population of them here in the UK too, Des, especially Scotland.  :)

I love the simplicity of this one, they're only small but full of character - as your excellent image shows!
