While out looking for wildlife to photograph, I find this "going on"! These two Red Squirrels were in a dispute over something, perceived insult or political disagreement perhaps? Anyway, it was a ferocious and sustained battle of titans. Both parties survived unscathed and ran away to enjoy the rest of the day.

Top-notch interaction frame with loads of action. The framing and poses could not better. And the flying snow is the perfect finishing touch. Great image, Gary!

A unique image with plenty of action captured from the " safety of your vehicle"!!! Very cool image.

Wow- have never seen Red Squirrels go at it quite like this! Amazing action with flying snow. What a crazy expression on the squirrel with the (temporary, probably) upper hand...err...paw? Glad they went away unscathed.

Great shot of action and movement, the flying snow perfectly completes the very, very dynamic context.

The abundance of these animals has always kind of made me avoid taking photos of them (much like crows and ravens). Just plain too boring to bother with.

But HOLY COW ... this is absolutely the bomb! Very well done on making an extremely common mammal look absolutely spectacular.

Thankyou to all for your kind comments. I wasn't sure what I was going to capture when I held down the shutter button and the fur began to fly.

I imagine it's hard to get a shot like this as it happens so fast but you did it! Love the flying snow, too
